Crofter’s Kitchen Scourie: where local ingredients meet culinary craftsmanship

Nestled on a Croft down by the beach in Scourie on the NC500 route, Crofter’s Kitchen is your brand new go-to destination to savor the freshest ingredients sourced from the North West Highlands, all expertly cooked in our outdoor location by the sea.

At Crofter’s Kitchen, our story begins with a deep-rooted passion for the sea and a commitment to showcasing local ingredients.

Opened in May 2024, our menu is a celebration of both coastal cuisine and local Crofts, with dishes crafted to highlight the natural goodness of the produce we use. We take pride in sourcing our ingredients locally, from fishing boat and fields to our outdoor kitchen by the sea.

With a focus on sustainability and seasonality, we offer anyone that stops by an authentic taste of the North West Highlands. When you choose to eat with us, you can trust that you’ll enjoy seafood and other local dishes at their very best, all to be enjoyed just a stones throw away from the blue waters of Scourie Beach.

We do not take bookings or reservations. If you arrive during our operational hours, we’ll serve you delicious food. Wait times are usually 10 minutes but we’ll let you know if it is longer.

Behind Crofter’s Kitchen

Crofter’s Kitchen is brought to you by husband and wife, Grant and Heather, and the recent addition of our newborn son. Grant has 16+ years Chef experience, most recently Head Chef at Kylesku Hotel and has previously worked in the Alps among other places.

We have always loved the North West Highlands and moved to Scourie in 2022 to be closer to family and to start our own family, and shortly after, bought our Croft. It was always our dream to move to the area and start our own food business and now it has become a reality.
